Installation
One-line CLI install (recommended)
bash / zsh
curl -fsSL https://install.zlogic.run | sh
PowerShell
irm https://install.zlogic.run | iex
The installer detects your OS and architecture, downloads the matching binary to
/usr/local/bin/zlogic (Linux/macOS) or %LOCALAPPDATA%\zlogic\bin (Windows).
Desktop app (closed source)
Download from zlogic.run/#download — binaries only: the CLI and the agent runtime are open source, the desktop client is not (see Choosing CLI vs Desktop):
| Platform | Format | Download |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 10/11 x64 | NSIS installer (.exe) | download |
| macOS 12+ Apple Silicon | DMG | download |
| macOS 12+ Intel (x86_64) | DMG | download |
| Linux x86_64 | AppImage | download |
Desktop is built on Tauri 2. System requirements:
Windows: WebView2 runtime (included in Windows 10+)
macOS: the app is not yet signed/notarized, so Gatekeeper blocks the first launch (on some systems right-click → Open no longer works).
Method 1 (recommended, works on all versions) — remove the quarantine flag:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/zlogic.appThen double-click zlogic like any normal app.
- Method 2 (macOS 15 Sequoia) — Privacy & Security: try to launch once (it will fail) → System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll to the Security section → click "Open Anyway".
Linux: WebKitGTK 4.1 + libsoup3
Verify downloads (optional but recommended)
Every artifact ships with a SHA-256 checksum and a minisign signature. The official machine-readable list lives at:
https://update.zlogic.run/checksums.json
Windows (PowerShell):
$file = "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\zlogic_latest_x64-setup.exe"
Invoke-WebRequest https://update.zlogic.run/dl/zlogic_latest_x64-setup.exe.sig -OutFile "$env:TEMP\zlogic.sig"
Invoke-WebRequest https://update.zlogic.run/dl/zlogic_minisign.pub -OutFile "$env:TEMP\zlogic.pub"
(Get-FileHash $file -Algorithm SHA256).Hash.ToLower()
macOS / Linux:
sha256sum zlogic_1.0.0-beta.1_x64-setup.exe # must match the entry in checksums.json
Advanced: verify the minisign signature (a checksum only protects against tampered downloads, not against a rogue publisher):
# install minisign (macOS: brew install minisign; Debian/Ubuntu: apt install minisign)
minisign -V -p zlogic_minisign.pub -x zlogic_1.0.0-beta.1_x64-setup.exe.sig zlogic_1.0.0-beta.1_x64-setup.exe
# expected: Signature and comment signature verified
Windows installer return codes
The Windows installer (NSIS, produced by the Tauri bundler) exits with the following return codes — useful in audit logs, CI output or wrapper scripts:
| Return code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | Installation succeeded |
| 1 | Installation was cancelled by the user |
| 2 | The installation script aborted (an error occurred) |
The current build uses Tauri's default NSIS configuration and defines no custom
codes, so only 0, 1 and 2 are ever returned.
